DAY SIXTEEN

The above in my room this morning and out of the window...before my coffee with German Installation artist and her little boy

A bright sunny day in Paris.... tried to see the big full moon last night but it was too cloudy. Decided to have a "slow" Sunday - amidst the Japanese disaster and war on Libya it sometimes is good to have a day where you can reflect and realise how exceptionally fortunate we are to be here....

Having some coffee this morning with a neighbour down in the corridor who is here with her 18 month old little boy. - after that the day is open.....

And then my Finnish friend let me know she would like to go sightseeing after 12.... so off I will go again after my coffee or tea with the Italian/German Installation artist down the corridor. She is a softspoken young lady with a small boy of eighteen months.... it must be difficult for her to be here.... and lonely - I have felt the power of kindness the past two weeks....

The walk along the canal was very special with Parissians walking and cycling and playing "boulles or petang"
or just sitting in the sun

After the visit with the little boy and his mom my Finnish friend came to fetch me and we went to a total different place.... the beginning of Canal st Martin - where we started a long walk from there to the older part of the city... the Marais and Bastille areas.

And the flea market was wonderful except that one doesn't really know what you will do with all the things they sell...but nice to look at

The walk was wonderful and we also went past a parisian fleemarket, and got to a lovely small market in the 3rd district which was quite nice....there we had some Maroccan food and drank something and then continued our journey....

The most wonderful saying against the wall: "you are in a good place / destination"

We wanted to have some coffee at a cafe along the way, but the Parissians were literally standing in a line to get place to sit down at a cafe for a coffee so we rather came home.

We will have some coffee another day.

Everybody seem to want to grap hold of a bit of sun... the people were sitting at the water's edge under the bridges and along the walkways.... all over the place. When you walked the people all walked in the sunny side of the road and the other sides there were nobody...... -

It is wonderful how so many people come out to get a bit of sun and enjoy it with others.
